Permissions used

activeTab is used so exports only run against the tab you explicitly act on.
scripting is used to read supported ChatGPT pages and enable Selected Messages checkboxes directly on the page.
downloads is used to save exported files when you click Download.
Host access is limited to chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com.

Current feature set

Export formats available now: Markdown, HTML, and TXT.
Selected Messages mode is automatic from the popup and removable when you switch back to Full Chat.
PDF is still marked as coming soon, not as shipped support.

Privacy

ChatCache is local-first by design. Conversation content is processed in your browser during export and is not uploaded to a ChatCache server. Read the full summary on the privacy page.
